This article discusses two rare medical cases. The first case involves a patient with a rare venous anomaly called persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC), which was discovered during treatment for a dysfunctional arteriovenous fistula (AVF). The article emphasizes the clinical significance of PLSVC and its potential impact on AVF creation and maintenance. The second case involves a patient who developed cardiac tamponade after undergoing peritoneal dialysis following cardiac surgery. The article highlights the challenges in diagnosing and managing these rare complications and calls for further research in this area. [Extracted from the article] |
