Abstrakt: The article discusses the efforts of Latino organizers in Central Washington to increase voter turnout and elect Latino candidates. Yakima County, which includes the Yakima Valley, has seen a significant growth in its Latino population and has historically faced challenges in terms of voter exclusion and representation. Recent court cases have led to the redrawing of legislative districts to consolidate Latino electoral power. However, the Latino community is not without its divisions, as conservative and progressive Latino voters and lawmakers clash.
