Abstrakt: A recent study conducted in Chengdu, China explored the correlation between certain factors and the risk of hip fracture in elderly women. The study analyzed data from 731 female patients over the age of 60 who were hospitalized in Sichuan Orthopedics Hospital. The researchers found that erythrocyte distribution width (RDW) and the N-MID OC/b-CTX ratio were associated with hip fracture in elderly women. The study concluded that these factors may be useful in diagnosing and preventing hip fractures in this population. [Extracted from the article]
