The article examines the possibility that Thomas Nashe, a writer from the Elizabethan era, was a pseudonym used by the Earl of Oxford. The author presents evidence suggesting linguistic and thematic similarities between Nashe's works and those of Shakespeare, as well as shared enemies and friends. The article also discusses allegorical references in Nashe's play that support the theory. The author argues that understanding Nashe as Oxford provides new insights into his works and highlights references from other writers that suggest they knew Nashe's true identity. The article questions the authenticity of certain documents and explores inconsistencies in Nashe's life that can be explained if he is understood as Oxford. [Extracted from the article] |
