A study conducted by researchers at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China examined the efficacy of red yeast rice (RYR)-containing commercial Chinese polyherbal preparations (CCPP) combined with statins in treating dyslipidemia. The study analyzed 33 randomized controlled trials involving 4,098 participants and found that the combination of RYR-containing CCPPs with statins significantly increased clinical efficacy and improved blood lipid profile parameters. No significant adverse reactions were observed. However, the researchers caution that further confirmation through well-designed trials is needed. [Extracted from the article] |
