This article discusses a case study of a Spanish-speaking male who experienced traumatic superior oblique palsy (SOP) and dry eye after being hit in the eye. The patient's symptoms improved with the use of prism lenses and lubricating eye drops. The article emphasizes the importance of differentiating between acquired and congenital cases of SOP and ruling out other potential causes. It also provides information on the diagnosis and management of SOP, including the use of the prism-measured alternate cover test and treatment options such as temporary prism correction and surgery.
