Abstrakt: This article discusses the treatment of postpneumonectomy syndrome (PPS) using a combination of a silicone breast implant and chimeric latissimus dorsi and serratus anterior muscle flaps. PPS is a condition that occurs after pneumonectomy surgery and can be life-threatening if left untreated. The article describes a case study of an 11-year-old patient who developed PPS and was successfully treated using the described technique. The authors suggest that this approach effectively restores airflow, prevents volume loss, and reduces the need for further surgeries. However, further long-term studies are needed to confirm these findings. [Extracted from the article]
