This article discusses the issue of illegal trafficking of Asiatic Black Bears (ABB) in Iran. Two specific cases are highlighted, where bear cubs were confiscated from traffickers and handed over to wildlife rehabilitation centers. The article emphasizes the importance of early June as a critical time for wildlife trafficking, as it coincides with the movement of bear cubs in Iran. It also calls for increased efforts in law enforcement and the establishment of a comprehensive rehabilitation and reintroduction program for ABB and other wildlife in Iran.
