The article focuses on the diverse realities of childhood in Latin America, highlighting the widespread violation of children's rights despite decades of adherence to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It addresses the adult-centric nature of societal structures and political systems, which fail to prioritize children's best interests, resulting in issues such as child labor, sexual exploitation, and inadequate involvement of children in decision-making processes. It further explores the challenges and inefficiencies within adoption processes and global measures addressing these problems. |
