Abstrakt: Cancer is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, necessitating exploring novel preventive and therapeutic strategies. Over the years, the potential of natural agents in cancer prevention and treatment has garnered considerable attention. This review highlights the current understanding of the molecular mechanical bases underlying the role of natural agents and their therapeutic potential in combating cancer. The molecular mechanisms through which these natural agents exert their anti-cancer activities are elucidated, encompassing modulation of signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, metastasis, and immune response. Additionally, the review delves into the emerging research on the epigenetic modifications induced by natural agents, providing a deeper insight into their anti-cancer properties.
