Researchers at Shanxi Medical University in Taiyuan, China have developed a new formulation using gold nanoparticles and chondroitin sulfate that shows promise in treating osteoporosis. The study, conducted on rats with ovariectomies, found that the formulation improved lipid profiles, bone microstructure, metabolism markers, and bone mineral density. The researchers believe that the formulation works through the MAPK signaling pathway.
