This article discusses the importance of training and professional development for corpsmen in the Marine Corps and Navy medicine. With the emergence of new conflict challenges, corpsmen need robust skills to care for and transport patients in various regions. The article highlights the need for a structured curriculum and skill maintenance system for corpsmen, as well as addressing the lack of understanding of their capabilities among Marine commanders and medical staff. Additionally, concerns about corpsmen's access to sensitive or personal healthcare are raised.
