This review article combines numerous research papers on sportswear grip bandages made from textile fibers like cotton and modal/bamboo. The qualities of fibers, comfort, hygiene, and different mechanical properties are all analyzed in this article. The aforementioned qualities are enhanced by the bio-finishing process. Biomaterials such as onion peals, neem extracts, jasmine extracts, aloeVera extracts, and turmeric extracts are considered. Regardless of substance, biomaterials have a major impact on comfort qualities. Compared to biomaterials, chemical finishing materials are more detrimental. The quest for eco-friendly and cozy sportswear has prompted research into natural materials, which are well- known for their inherent capacity to wick away moisture, breathe, and possess minimal allergenic qualities. The utilization of bio-finishing agents is researched in order to maximize the antibacterial and odor-resistant properties required to fulfill the demands of sports-related activities. The fabric's moisture absorption and pilling resistance are used to assess its sweat-control effectiveness. The anti- odor and microbial resistance properties are tested to determine the potential reduction in bacterial growth with continuous usage. To ensure that the textiles meet the wearer's expectations, comfort- related elements like breathability and the capacity to reduce skin irritation are considered. This study stresses the relevance of mixing natural fibers with bio-finishing technologies for designing high- performance, ecologically conscious sportswear. The findings indicate that bamboo and modal fibers outperform other natural and man-made materials in terms of comfort. Bio-finishing has a significant impact on increasing the comfort. properties of the irrespective materials. The combination of natural fibers with bio-finishing technologies not only enhances comfort but also promotes sustainability in the production of sportswear. By prioritizing both performance and eco-consciousness, designers can create garments that cater to the needs of athletes while minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of sustainability in the sportswear industry, as bio- finishing technologies offer a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional finishing methods. By combining natural fibers with these innovative technologies, designers can create high-quality, comfortable sportswear that is also better for the planet. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
