Abstrakt: The article presents the discussion on history of Omaha Beach in Normandy, France, formerly known as Cote d'Or, where Allied forces landed on June 6, 1944, during World War II's D-Day invasion. Topics include artifacts from the National Museum of American History that illustrate the bravery and challenges faced by soldiers; and artifacts serve to preserve and communicate the significance of the D-Day landings and the Allied effort to liberate Europe from Nazi occupation.
