| Abstrakt: | In this chapter, classical liberalism and different liberal predicaments and potentials to fight back against populism are explored. Liberals cannot resort to the same methods as the populists without abandoning liberalism itself. But the three dimensions of classical liberalism-institutions, economics and society, and the liberal spirit-reinforce each other and provide the potential to fight against populist threats.
