Abstrakt: A 47-year-old male patient sought medical attention in October 2018, referred by another institution, for a biopsy of a suspected periapical cyst in the right side of the mandible. During the procedure, the surgeon observed significant bleeding that was not typical for this type of lesion. An aspiration puncture of the lesion was conducted, and a subsequent biopsy was scheduled. Computed Tomography revealed extensive bone destruction and root resorption. An exploratory biopsy was then performed. Microscopic examination results confirmed the diagnosis of an aneurysmal bone cyst. It was decided to pursue a conservative management approach for the lesion, which involved the local injection of doxycycline combined with albumin. The procedure entailed mixing two ampoules of 100 mg doxycycline with one ampoule of albumin, followed by intraosseous administration until the lesion was completely filled, and fluid began to leak. Subsequently, there was evidence of bone neoformation, and the patient has been under follow-up care since then. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
