Abstrakt: A 40-year-old man presented with multiple translucent and hemorrhagic papules distributed in the gingival mucosa. These lesions had originated from a single hemorrhagic papule in the palatine interdental papilla and had spread to the vestibular papilla and marginal gingiva over a period of two months. Suspecting Wegener's granulomatosis, a biopsy was performed. The histopathological examination revealed significant epithelial exocytosis and pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia. The lamina propria exhibited an intense, mixed inflammatory infiltrate composed of lymphocytes, histiocytes, polymorphonuclear cells, and extravasated red blood cells. Laboratory tests, including ANCA serology, creatinine levels, urine sediment analysis, and abdominal computed tomography scan, were conducted. These tests led to the final diagnosis of superficial Wegener's granulomatosis. The patient was referred to a rheumatologist and received treatment with prednisone for six months. The gingival lesions showed partial involution during the course of treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
