Abstrakt: A 30-year-old woman presented with a sizable swelling on the left side of the hard palate, experiencing pressure sensations behind the left eyeball and within the left maxillary sinus. Additionally, she reported numbness in adjacent structures. These symptoms had been progressing over the course of 18 months before seeking the specialist's attention. The patient had previously undergone endodontic treatment on a left upper molar in an attempt to address the issue. Imaging examinations revealed a large area of soft tissue radiodensity enveloping the left eye orbit, nasal fossae, and extending into the medial and anterior left cranial fossa. An incisional biopsy was performed, confirming the diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma. Due to the size of the tumor and the structures it involved, surgical intervention was deemed infeasible. Therefore, the patient underwent radiotherapy (63.6 Gy) as part of the treatment plan. The patient has been under follow-up for one year, and she revealed that fear of the diagnosis had initially prevented her from seeking specialized medical attention earlier.. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
