Abstrakt: The SARS-CoV-2 virus contains the Spike protein, crucial for viral entry and RNA release in human cells. Infection triggers hyperinflammation, leading to an immune response that causes hemodynamic changes, coagulation disorders, platelet activation, and blood stasis. Additionally, the coronavirus vaccine has been associated with cases of thrombocytopenia and thrombosis in unusual sites due to the production of antibodies against platelet antigens. This report describes a 63-year-old female patient diagnosed with lingual thromboembolism after coronavirus vaccination, having previously been infected by the virus. The physical examination indicated obesity with controlled hypertension. Hematologic exams confirmed hyperlipidemia and hypertriglyceridemia. An excisional biopsy was performed, and anatomopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis. The patient was referred to a cardiologist for further evaluation and was discharged after a two-week uneventful post-surgical follow-up. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
