Abstrakt: A 21-year-old Caucasian female was referred for an evaluation of an asymptomatic expansile lesion in the left posterior maxilla, with an unknown duration of evolution. Intraoral examination revealed a swelling in the left upper alveolar ridge extending to the hard palate, which was firm upon palpation. Imaging examinations revealed an expansive, radiopaque/hyperdense maxillary lesion that had invaded the left maxillary sinus and was in close proximity to the orbital floor. An incisional biopsy was conducted, and microscopic analysis revealed spindle cell proliferation within a sparse stroma, along with small calcified nodules, leading to the diagnosis of Psammomatoid Ossifying Fibroma. The patient subsequently underwent an intraoral local excision and was provided with a partial prosthesis. After two years, the patient underwent surgical rehabilitation using an iliac crest bone graft for future dental implant placement. However, the bone graft had to be partially removed due to complications. As of the most recent clinical follow-up, the patient remains in good health without any signs of recurrence.
