This article presents information related to the U.S. representative and arch-homophobe William Dannemeyer, a Republican from California, who has contributed $1000 to an opponent of his House colleague, openly gay Democratic Representative Gerry Studds. According to news accounts, a third member of the House of Representatives, New Hampshire Republican Chuck Douglas acted as the conduit between Dannemeyer and Studds' opponent. Studds' opponent attempted to refute that connection between his campaign and Dannemeyer. |
