Abstrakt: A research team from the Wildlands Network is conducting a study to evaluate the impact of utility-scale solar energy projects on pronghorn and other wildlife. The study aims to gather data on pronghorn movements, habitat use, and population numbers to help mitigate the effects of solar development on these animals. Solar development is increasing in the Four Corners region, and there is a lack of information on how it affects large mammals. The study will also focus on the Navajo Nation and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, where future solar developments are planned. The researchers hope that their findings will inform future solar projects and help reduce negative impacts on pronghorn and other wildlife. [Extracted from the article]
