This article discusses the importance of implementing classroom supports for interventions as intended and explores common barriers to high-quality implementation. It emphasizes the role of school psychologists in monitoring fidelity and providing support for intervention implementation. The article suggests universal intervention implementation supports such as implementation planning, direct training, and written intervention tools. It also discusses intensifying supports for teachers who may need additional help, including addressing skill deficits through additional training and addressing performance deficits through motivational interviewing and performance feedback.
