A literary criticism of the book "The T.E. Lawrence Poems" by Gwendolyn MacEwen is presented. It explores how MacEwen engages with T.E. Lawrence's text, Seven Pillars of Wisdom, in light of contemporary issues of cultural ownership and relevance. It argues that MacEwen's poems offer a reimagining of cultural heritage and challenge notions of cultural ownership, using the dialogic and speculative characteristics of lyric poetry to displace narrative time and reimagine Lawrence's experiences. |
