The article is a book review of "Perspectives on Multigrade Teaching: Research and Practice in South Africa and Australia." The book explores the topic of multigrade teaching in resource-deprived South Africa and resource-rich Australia. It discusses the differences between multigrade and multiage classrooms and highlights the disparities in access to information and technology between the two countries. The book also addresses the challenges faced by teachers in multigrade classrooms and suggests strategies such as cooperative learning and communities of practice. However, the review notes that the book lacks a concluding chapter and could benefit from more current literature. Overall, the book provides valuable insights for teachers, governments, and communities dealing with multigrade classrooms. [Extracted from the article] |
