The article focuses on the Poetic Mongsen language, examining its historical and cultural significance, linguistic features and ties to the Ao people's identity. Topics include the uniqueness of Poetic Mongsen as a sung language; its evolution and influence on other spoken languages; and its role in preserving Ao oral traditions and cultural heritage through storytelling and songs; and the challenges in preserving and documenting this moribund language for future generations. |
