Abstrakt: Dr Rosie Travers is a psychologist who has worked in criminal justice since the 1980s. She joined the Prison Service as an Applied Criminological Psychologist and worked at HMP Wandsworth for four years before moving into national research and development roles. Rosie now leads the Evidence-Based Practice Team (EBPT) at HMPPS, having been a member since its inception around ten years ago. Rosie's team sits within the Insights Group in the Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate at HMPPS. She and her colleagues are responsible for critically evaluating the evidencebase and communicating this to colleagues to inform and direct operational policy and practice. The team is expert in sourcing, synthesising, and translating evidence to shape everyday practice in prisons, probation, and youth custody, and to inform strategic development.
