In the 1980s, the idea of space exploration was popular and seen as a symbol of ambition and possibility. Photographer Bill Silano traveled to NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston to shoot a fashion story for Harper's Bazaar's April 1983 issue.
