Abstrakt: | This article examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the field of history. It raises concerns about the potential for AI to surpass human historians in knowledge and the ethical implications of AI in shaping historical narratives. The author conducted experiments with AI chatbots and found that while they can provide accurate information on certain historical facts, they often lack depth and analytical thinking. The article emphasizes the importance of trained historians in countering fake or politically motivated historical narratives and asserts that AI is not capable of rewriting major historical narratives or possessing authority over historical topics.
