The NCGA (Northern California Golf Association) provides a quiz on the Rules of Golf to help golfers improve their understanding of the game. The quiz consists of multiple-choice questions that cover various rules and scenarios in golf, such as relief for out-of-bounds walls and penalties for unplayable balls. One rule, Clarification 8.1/10, allows players to put a movable part of an immovable obstruction back in its intended position. Another rule, Rule 8.1 and Exception - Rule 3.3, imposes a two-stroke penalty if a player unknowingly improves the conditions affecting the stroke, which can be added by the committee after the scorecard has been returned. Rule 11.2c(2) states that failing to cancel and replay a stroke as required results in a general penalty and the stroke counts. Lastly, Rule 9.5b prohibits players from marking and lifting an opponent's ball without their permission. [Extracted from the article] |
