Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers at Wenzhou Medical University in China has investigated the protective effects of a novel pyrimidine-2,4-diamine derivative, Cyy-287, on mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD). The study found that Cyy-287 effectively mitigated inflammatory responses, fibrosis, and lipid synthesis in obesity-induced cardiac and hepatic dysfunction. The compound decreased levels of serum glucose, LDL, TC, ALT, and AST activities, while increasing heart function. It also inhibited histopathological changes in the heart and liver, decreased inflammatory activity, and upregulated the AMPK pathway. The findings suggest that Cyy-287 may protect heart and liver cells from obesity-induced damage. [Extracted from the article]
