A report from the American University Cairo analyzes the UIA World Congress of Architects held in Copenhagen in 2023, which focused on the theme of "Leave no one behind." The congress explored architecture's role in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addressed design challenges related to climate adaptation, circular design strategies, community resilience, public health, inclusive built environments, and challenging power structures. The report highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, community participation, and new design approaches in achieving the SDGs.
