A recent study conducted at Velammal Medical College Hospital and Research Institute in Madurai, India, focused on osteoarticular melioidosis, a type of bacterial infection. The study analyzed a case series of ten patients diagnosed with osteoarticular melioidosis between December 2014 and February 2022. The findings revealed that all patients were diabetic, with a male to female ratio of 9:1. The study emphasized the importance of early clinical suspicion, laboratory diagnosis, and appropriate management for a good recovery.
