This article is a review of a book titled "Ceramic technology, production and use in an urban settlement on the Middle Nile: the pottery assemblage from Late Meroitic Hamadab, Sudan (2nd to 4th Century A.D.)". The book presents the results of research on pottery from the sites of Hamadab and the Royal Baths at Meroe. It focuses on topics such as pottery fabrics, manufacturing processes, and the functional aspects of Meroitic ceramics. The book is structured into nine chapters and includes illustrations and appendices. While the volume does not provide a comprehensive description of the pottery assemblages, it offers valuable insights into Meroitic pottery and contributes to our understanding of ceramics during the Meroitic period.
