Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Belgorod National Research University in Russia focused on the development of advanced martensitic stainless steels for dental instruments. The researchers examined the microstructures and tensile strength of these steels with varying carbon content after tempering at different temperatures. They found that the volume fraction of retained austenite depended on the carbon content, and the grain size and tensile strength varied based on the tempering conditions. The study concluded that the tensile strength of these steels could reach 1700-1900 MPa or 650-750 MPa, depending on the carbon content and tempering temperature. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights for the field of dentistry. [Extracted from the article]
