A recent study conducted by researchers at the Amrita Institute of Medical Science in Kerala, India, explores the role of financial assessment programs as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in a multispecialty tertiary care hospital. The study used a mixed-methods approach to investigate the impact of financial assessment on the hospital's philanthropic responsibilities, focusing on factors such as socioeconomic status, external help, ownership, income, and liabilities of beneficiaries. The findings suggest that financial assessment programs play an effective role in ensuring equitable access to healthcare and fulfilling the hospital's CSR obligations.
