This article presents information on design verification and fault diagnosis in manufacturing. When designing and building digital systems, people must ensure that the manufactured final product is exactly what was intended. The first step for verification is to describe both specification and design in mathematical ways so that people can formally apply logic to them. Since verification ensures the correctness of designs with respect to specification, it is done by simulating designs and checking the appropriateness of outputs from simulations. |
