Abstrakt: A recent report from Amsterdam University Medical Center discusses the molecular bioscience of the anti-inflammatory interleukin-1 receptor associated kinase-M (IRAK-M). The research reveals that IRAK-M uses three surfaces of its Death Domain (DD) to activate NF-kB downstream of MyD88/IRAK-4/IRAK-M. The study also identifies the structure-function properties of IRAK-M, which could make it a potential therapeutic target for inflammatory diseases. This research was supported by Marie Curie.
