Abstrakt: A new study from the University of Manchester explores the concept of "ageing in place" and its implications for end-of-life discussions in age-friendly policies. The research highlights the need to consider the heterogeneity of the older population and the challenges faced by diverse groups of older people when developing policies that support ageing in place. The study suggests that there are overlapping challenges and opportunities in relation to supporting both ageing in place and end-of-life, and calls for greater discussion of end-of-life and dying in age-friendly policy. The research takes a critical perspective on the places in which we live and age, emphasizing the influence of social and political determinants. [Extracted from the article]
