Abstrakt: The purpose of this group is to move forward towards collective action within the disabled community. Research on mathematics and disabilities traditionally has been conducted within a special education paradigm, which often adopts a deficit model while ignoring the social, discursive, political, and structural context. We must take up equity-oriented approaches to understanding disability and its intersections by utilizing frameworks that honor those most impacted. We welcome all who are interested to join.
