| Abstrakt: |
The article considers planned home birth (PHB) as an option given the increase in mortality due to COVID-19 pandemic among pregnant and postpartum women. It shows different actions related to PHB across countries including in the United Kingdom (UK), the U.S., Brazil, Italy, France and Spain. Emphasis is given on the need for official protocols to guide and support PHP professionals. It argues for the inclusion of PHB as a type of delivery care in discussions on assistance to the birth process. |
