Behavioural observations in children with Down's syndrome.

Abstrakt:	The article presents information on the behavioural observations in children with Down's syndrome. There has been a growing interest in the behaviour of children with developmental disabilities in the past few decades. Some investigators have pointed out the increased prevalence of behaviour problems and psychiatric disorders in persons with mental retardation and other handicapping conditions. Thirty-one per cent of the children with Down's syndrome and 29% of controls were judged to be well adjusted, whereas 38% of the children with Down's syndrome and 49% of the controls had significant behaviour disorders.
