The article discusses the role of alternative therapies like direct energy therapeutics for the treatment and management of chronic wounds. Also cited are the possible comorbidities of chronic wounds like chronic kidney disease, vascular deficits, and diabetes, the cases of diabetic foot ulceration (DFU) worldwide, and the applications of direct energy conversion like radiofrequency, light therapy, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy devices. |
