The article presents a research guide on the life and works of author Virginia Woolf. She was born Adeline Virginia Stephen of eminent Victorian biographer Leslie Stephen on January 25, 1882 in London, England. In 1912, she married Leonard Woolf. She established Hogarth Press with her husband in 1917. Her works include The Voyage Out, Night and Day, Jacob's Room and Mrs. Dalloway among others. Ownership of the press was transferred to John Lehmann in 1938. Woolf committed suicide by drowning in the Ouse River, near Monks House on March 28, 1941. |
