David Byrnes needed true grit to take him through the long struggles he endured to enter his chosen profession of chiropractic. These struggles involved hard work to raise money to fund his chiropractic education, a serious accident shortly after his arrival at Palmer College of Chiropractic, and the major surgeries and long periods of hospitalization and rehabilitation he needed to recover from the severe injuries he suffered in the accident. His true grit was eventually rewarded when he was able to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College years later and then to establish a successful practice and life in his homeland of Australia.
