Administrators play a vital role in working with their board members to determine the most effective ways a board member may use social media as a representative of the school district My suggested guidelines follow for school district administrators to share with board members on use of social media as public officials. Exercise their First Amendment rights by being active users of social media, particularly Face-book and Twitter.
