Meissen Artisan Series: An analysis of the ‘Potter’ Figure.

Abstrakt: The article analyzes the porcelain potter figurines modeled by German sculptor and artist Johann Joachim Kändler and produced as part of the artisan series in the 18th-century at Meissen Porcelain Factory in Germany. It discusses the history, production technique and technical features of the figurines including the hair, expression, hands, feet, hat, shirt, waistcoats, trousers, wheel throwing produced form, wooden shelf/wareboard, bench, platform and blue crossed mark.
