Abstrakt: The article focuses on the effect of firing temperature and time on the strength of silica-based investment shells at ambient and elevated temperatures. Topics include the influence of sintering on shell strength, the formation of cristobalite and its impact on shell properties, and the relationship between density, porosity, and flexural strength; and understand how changes in firing conditions affect the microstructure and strength of the shells.
