| Abstrakt: |
The particle "lah" in the aspect of discourse is an affirmative word that has various roles in utterance. The term discourse particle is used to describe the existence of pragmatic interpretation through use in a particular context. The various interpretations of the discourse particle "lah" resulting from existing studies not only provide input related to its structure but also cause confusion regarding its use. In line with that, the need for research to compile the findings of previous studies should be implemented to synthesize the use of these discourse particles in terms of coverage of the debate, its form and function. The methodology of this study which is a Systematic Literature Review study is based on the PRISMA standard (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis). Three main databases were used namely Scopus, Dimensions and Google Scholar. This study used thematic analysis with the help of ATLAS.ti 23 software. Based on the analysis conducted, 102 interpretations of the discourse particle "lah" were coded. In addition, four main themes, namely Speaker Party, Social Identity and Genre Function can be produced to represent each interpretation. Based on this systematic literature review, the researcher was able to identify theoretical discussions related to the form and function of "lah" that could explain the role of these particles in communicative utterance.
