The article focuses on Skeletal remains of a northern turkey Meleagris gallopavo Linnaeus, 1758, from the Arroyo Piedras Azules archaeological site in western Mexico. It mentions possible to find native birds in the wild, native domesticated and domesticated specialized in intensive production. It also mentions six extant subspecies, two are currently in Mexican territory. |
